October 31st, 2011
admin I love dessert. And, just because I desire to be on a much healthier diet than the average American it doesn’t mean that I desire to give up sweet treats completely. Sweets, like any other food should be eaten in moderation, but there is nothing wrong with a little nutritious sweet indulgence once in a while. After all there are many natural sweeteners that contain many vitamins and minerals. And, you can make create some very tasty treats with healthy ingredients that you don’t have to feel guilty feeding your children.
Since I can never have too many great ideas when it comes to crafting healthy treats for myself and my family I was just thrilled when Kate Tietje told me that she was coming out with Treat Yourself: Real Food Desserts. And, just like Kate’s book Against the Grain: Delicious Recipes for a Whole Food and Grain Free Diet there are amazing photos to show you just how great these real food desserts can look.
